Graphic Novels:
- MG, please! Anything and everything!
- YA: being selective here because there are so many. Really hoping for something like This One Summer which I just ADORED, The Girl From the Sea, or Heartstopper. (5/6) #mswl

MG:
- Adventure stories with strong friendship groups, think City Spies or The Last Day of Summer.
- Fantasy in the vein of Tristan Strong, or Aru Shah.
- Horror, horror, horror! Creepy, crawly, funny & subversive. Think The Incorrigible Children of Ashton Place (4/6) #mswl
Hi new friends and old, thanks for the well wishes & support. Since it's pub lunch official...I'm thrilled to share the #mswl of my dreams and I hope to see some cool submissions soon! manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/jenn…

“High concept and modern middle grade chapter book series, like Mindy Kim by Lyla Lee and Narwhal and Jelly by Ben Clanton.“ @agentvicente #MSWL mariavicente.com/representation

A specific thing! MG, YA, or adult fiction by & about Cajuns. Would love to hear from the Acadian writers out there!

MG across the board: Heartwarming & funny contemporary, mysteries, humor, horror, adventure, or some blend of all those. Touches of magic.

MG horror, too: Spooky stories, stories that are a little bit creepier than you feel like they should be for middle graders. (More HIDE AND SEEKER than DOLL BONES, if that makes sense? It makes sense to me.)

-- TURNING RED -- Give me all the coming of age middle grade novels and graphic novels! The more embarrassing, funny, relatable, the better.

Literary Agent
-- OUR FLAG MEANS DEATH -- I'd love a queer take on pirates in the adult upmarket/book club space, in the vein of OUTLAWED but out at sea. I'd also be interested in this for YA or MG graphic novel!

For #amquerying writers here's a quick #MSWL update: I've been consuming a lot of new shows lately that are exploring concepts that I'd love to see more in my queries!-- RANKING OF KINGS -- I'd love to see a middle grade novel (graphic or prose) that explores a kid born into royalty/monarchy that doesn't fit the bill for what a ruler should be or some other setting!

@ajones_litagent Hi Ms. Jones - I just checked out your MSWL for middle grade and in the Fiction section you mention being open to Fantasy but not under the MG heading. I'm wondering if you are open to MG fantasy as well? Thanks so much.Great question, Kim! Yes, I represent #MG #fantasy. That part of my #MSWL should be read [MG & YA (magical realism & SF)]. Cheers!

I could do a whole #MSWL on this (MG or YA only please!) so here goes:
-Enchanted. Takes place in one night. Intense romance
- The last great American dynasty. Gimme the outsider protag who kinda relishes screwing up high society
- anything with ONLY THE YOUNG energy

“I am on the hunt for non-fiction in MG. Show me glimpses of history that haven’t been taught to younger students before, collections of pieces, anthologies.” @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

Re: period & puberty discourse from #TurningRed, I'm actively looking for middle grade novels that addresses these topics! Give me all the earnest (slightly cringe but still funny) coming of age MGs that grapple with these 'taboo' issues or just include them! #amquerying #mswl
