I am *not* looking for epic fantasies, kingdoms/kings/queens/princes/princesses, etc. I would like fantasy/magical realism in the way of time travel, witches, past lives, reincarnations, etc.

Historical fiction: I prefer pre-20th century.

For speculative fiction and magical realism, I love stories that deal with time in interesting ways (OONA OUT OF ORDER) but I also love Isabel Allende’s stories.
I’ve been saying I would love to see an adult version of Encanto.

I acquire a few genres between our two imprints, but to break it down:

Crooked Lane:
thrillers, historical mysteries, cozy mysteries, and horror.

Alcove Press:
historical fiction, magical realism, speculative fiction, romcoms, bookclub fiction, and romantasy.

Agents:
- LGBTQ+ stories—including romcoms
- Twisty, gripping with surprising endings (think Mary Kubrica or Seraphina Nova Glass)
- Stories with light fantasy or gothic elements, mild horror, and/or magical realism
- Quirky female-driven fiction
- Juicy dramas
