YA: Much the same as MG--humor, realistic teen stories, #ownvoices, adventure, sci-fi. Also, love a good teen romance, horror, mystery, but not super-dark.

I’m looking for picture books like Elise Parsley, Tammi Sauer and Ryan T Higgins. I prefer humorous, silly or witty picture books. Things kids (okay I) can read over and over again and still laugh. #MSWL

First, I’d love to see more nonfiction. Especially interested in ecology/conservation & American history through the lens of marginalized people.

I’m also on the lookout for big-hearted, voice-driven middle grade—with plenty of humor, obv.

Though I do like dark, I also like the opposite side of the spectrum. Sassy self-deprecating characters with humor are huge on my #MSWL. Angus, Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging is gold.
