Spooky PBs! ๐ป๐คโจ๐๐
Ghosts, haunted houses, cobwebs. I would die for a picture book about rusalka.
See How to Make Friends with a Ghostย for my spooky book crush, as well as an upcoming picture book called The Ugly Doodles by my client @vwicker2478. #MSWL

The pitch: a modern day ghost-hunter, but instead of locating spirits, they're a detective who tracks down exes who have cut off communication. This is a genuine--and impossible IRL--dream job, so I'd at least like to rep a book about it. #MSWL

Lastly (I think), ghost stories, for MG/YA/adult. Did anyone out there also grow up with Kathryn Tucker Windham's Jeffrey books? Give me ghost stories for people who grew up loving the Jeffrey books. #MSWL

But not just ghost stories, but anything dark and creepy. I just watched We Have Always Lived in the Castle (which is fantastic, btw), so creepy/gothic with an unreliable narrator is a plus. #MSWL YA/MG only.

#MSWL You know how ghosts are often described in Victorian-era clothes? I'd love a creepy book that links all the Victorian ghosts back to death-centric rituals/obsessions of that era--the hair rings, eating ashes, etc.

I can't deny that fall is coming because I just added ghosts to my #mswl (in addition to romps, romance, and dark fantasy). 'Tis the season! nicolefiorica.wordpress.com/mswl/

As we approach Sept, let me just publicly declare: Iโm all onboard with the spooks. Murder mysteries, ghost stories, what have you. BUT. My main focus is still an engaging, funny voice and an examination of some kind of culture (geographic, hobby, sport, familial, etc.) ๐ป #MSWL

Felt cute. Might raise the dead later. IDK.
Today when I opened the antique shop, I found books & boxes a'tumbled. This isn't the first time I've given the shop the side-eye but now may blame the new 19th-c doll. Or not. It could be literary raccoons.
#MSWL ghost stories!

I really want a literary ghost novel. Ex. An adult version of the YA Novel "A Certain Slant of Light"(Whitcomb) would be perfect. #MSWL

So, I mention that I like horror of the downright creepy variety. This will give you a sense of what that would be. As soon as I saw the trailer for this game I almost evil laughed ๐ ๐ป๐ supermassivegames.com/games/man-of-mโฆ #MSWL #YAhorror #ghostship #manofmedan @SuperMGames

A #MSWL for #NationalParanormalDay: I'd love some nonfiction about ghosts at the moment. Think GHOSTLAND, only even spookier! Creepy exploration of ghost stories and where they come from (but also so scary it gives me chills)
