I never thought I’d want anything to do with #TheCanterburyTales once I graduated but now I feel like a YA contemp/fantasy novel (loosely) inspired by/based on it (like structurally) could be really cool???
Guess after having it in 4+ classes, the brainwashing worked...

4. LatinX representation in kidlit- all ages, all genres, though I am particularly interested in finding a YA contemp & a MG fantasy! A few favorites: @LauraTNamey, @Nina_Writes, @acevedowrites, @djolder, and @CeliaCPerez. (You should be reading *all* of them!)

1. Adult Horror: I want books that have something to SAY--about our present, our past, our future. Feminist/anti-colonialist stories are close to my heart, but I'm open to anything that can be described as "smart + terrifying." I'm also open to grounded fantasy w/ horror elements

twitter i have a hunger for: battle couples.don't care about the genre (sff, romance, crime, whatever) or the gender, just really want to read about two people exchanging a last, heated glance before spinning back to back to face down insurmountable odds
Make it SFF & send my way!! #MSWL

Hi #amquerying friends! I have officially fully re-opened to queries. I'll thread a couple of #mswl related tweets, but I'm so excited to see your projects in my inbox, which can be found at this handy link: QueryManager.com/evascalzo 1/Reminder: I represent Adult Romance and SFF and across all genres of Young Adult fiction. I do not represent literary fiction, poetry, screenplays, or nonfiction—not even narrative nonfiction or whatever autofiction is (something I've seen recently in queries). #mswl 2/

i am still closed and catching up on lots of reading, but.... if you have a YA or MG with monsters rooted in underrepresented mythologies/cultures/folklore/history (#ownvoices only please)... well, i'd like to see that. can be fantasy or contemporary! #mswl
#mswl: Don't you think the heist story Madison Ferris suggests here sounds fun? Have you written something similar in an SFF setting? Please send it on! nytimes.com/2020/08/25/t-m…
