Though I do love fantasy, I don't usually go for stories that are heavily focused on action (huge battles, wars, etc). If there is any political upheaval going on, I need excellent character development and voice to balance out any action. #MSWL #YA #MG #amagenting #amreading

(And for the search engines: that’s, yes; please send me adult or YA second-world fantasy with Jewish elements, or YA Jewish magical realism, Jewish Speculative fiction, literary Jewish fantasy novels, et cetera #mswl)

Steven Salpeter @StiSal · Feb 8

Sam B. Farkas @SamBFarkas

I hope we'll see more Jewish second-world fantasy. Jewish culture is full of myths and magic that would be fresh and breathtaking in a fantasy setting.

Hi, yes, please send these directly to my inbox. I’m here for your Ruth or Esther retelling, your golems, your genderbent Solomon, your modern Samson with an Ariana-length pony. Break my heart and take me to sit Shiva in a lush enchanted forest. Teach me about ru’ach magic. #MSWL

Hello twitterverse! I am now very selectively looking for adult fantasy. I read a lot of adult high fantasy as a teen and still love it. I often am drawn to unique epic fantasy with a strong heroine as the MC as well as a romance subplot. #MSWL

Also, surely there is a fantasy novel featuring Grand Central as a wild nexus of portals to magical worlds? If not, I would love for an author of color to write that & send it to me. #MSWL

#MSWL. I would love this so much, especially from an author who has spent time in Grand Central and understands its nuances. Ever lost a key on the train? The lost and found has so many keys! Maybe he’s the key master to each gateway!
