I'm also hungry for unique historical fantasy in YA. I loved A TREASON OF THORNS by Laura Weymouth, AND I DARKEN by Kiersten White, and JACABY by William Ritter. #mswl

Please send me your contemporary fantasy (all ages!), especially if it has scary elements. Hauntings, body horror, dark magic, whatever! I wants it. #mswl

I loved the grounded fantasy of THE MERCIFUL CROW. It dealt with alot of issues, and had alot of themes working for it. #MSWL

My #MSWL part 3: Adult: I would also love a near-future sci-fi with a UNIQUE angle. Make it more about science & not so much about aliens or Star Wars. Give me dark fantasy but something that hasn't been done to death. Show me worlds I haven't seen. #WritingCommunity #amquerying

"For fantasy, give me your urbanite gods, stomping around the city with their cappuccinos. Think BLACKBIRD or THE WICKED + THE DIVINE in paperback." @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

"Sci-fi & fantasy novels. I love them. I read a ton of them. But they have to be accessible. What does that mean? It means that readers who don't traditionally pick up much sci-fi/fantasy, can pick up one of these novels & enjoy it." @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

In honor of Holly Black's Queen of Nothing release today, I'd love more fantasy with complicated court politics like this series. Other examples, The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkowski, and Crown Duel/Court Duel by Sherwood Smith. #MSWL

General PSA that I'm only looking for projects in the sci-fi/fantasy genres on the YA side, not adult. #MSWL

i'm convinced that if anyone ever DID graverob qin shi huang's body, the resulting curse would end all life on earth immediatelyum. why are 90% of high fantasy stories about european history again?
the next addition to my #mswl (this gives me dora and the lost city of gold vibes, a movie i thoroughly enjoyed and a movie that deserves an mcu-level franchise)

There are so many ways to go with this. I'd curious to see a story where this tech is commonly used. Rarely (& clandestinely) used. What we as a society & tech-wise do to combat it. What someone would do if their entire likeness &words were stolen/manipulated this way. #MSWLAs always, my tastes run character-driven with cool plot elements and a fast pace...so the ideal story for me would follow one (or a couple) POVs in this world with an overarching plot that can either be directly related or somehow just tangentially affected by this tech. #MSWL

I've heard of tech like this that could easily be used by anyone representing living people AND voice replications. It's the tech with implications I think I'm most concerned about. That said, I think that fear makes it ripe for SFF mining so...this is a must-see #MSWL for me. twitter.com/Claribel_Orteg…There are so many ways to go with this.
