I want urban fantasy in MG too please! Series potential and big friend groups, family-focused, heartfelt—would love to fight some surprise tears reading a fun, sweeping adventure. #MSWL

For my MG, right now I really want magical adventure! Send me something fantastical and fun, with a great hook, and friendships that shine. Especially if there are any non-human magical characters incorporated in a fresh way. #MSWL

I’m still looking for my fresh take on vampires in YA, whether grounded in this world or else reimagined and renamed in a fantasy one. I’d love to see more unexpected urban fantasy in general too, with characters I’d follow anywhere. #MSWL

On my fantasy/scifi #MSWL I often say I like stories to play with time. This doesn't necessarily mean time travel. My FAVORITE movie/short story is Arrival/Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang. The way time is used in that RUINED ME in the best way. Play with big concepts like time.

Sam Sykes @SamSykesSwears

Breakfast Club, but they are at wizard school.

Bring It On, but they are at wizard school.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but he’s at wizard school.

It’s just that easy to make a new genre of film, fellas.

YES—give me “Bring It On” at wizard (or space) school! #mswl

I want #SFF stories about socioeconomic disparities at academic institutions.

Public school zoning on Mars? Affirmative action at fantasy college? Exploitation of student athletes at interstellar universities? PLEASE.

#MSWL I am not the right agent for vampire, werewolf, or fae stories. I am always looking for unique fantasy that brings in new, exciting elements less-commonly-seen, as well as stories that incorporate less-commonly-seen cultures into the worldbuilding!

So thrilled to be faving for @CarinaPress during #DvPit. I'm looking for character-driven romance of any tone/genre, but especially tropey romcoms and gritty, atmospheric PNR/Fantasy #mswl

I don't have very many #adult #fantasy stories in my box at the moment. Want to change that? Send query and 1st 5 pages pasted in the body of the email to: querylynnette (at) theseymouragency (dot) com. #MSWL

I may have mentioned it before, but if anyone wants to write me a fantasy book inspired by the Russian Night Witches I wouldn't be sad. #mswl

This song came out the year before I was born, and I'm disappointed none of it has come true yet. But at least I can #mswl it? Send me some of that optimistic, aspirational sci-fi and fantasy please. Don't let Susan down! youtu.be/46FOlF5bZPQ

Most of all, MOST OF ALL, if you're worried your character is not the usual star of a sci-fi fantasy because of elements of diversity (color, religion, LGBTQ+, neurodiversity, disability) QUERY ME PLZ plz plz plz plz! #MSWL

Naomi Davis The Caffeinated @NaomisLitPix · 9 Apr 2018

And if you're feeling sorta "This character isn't typically the focus in sci-fi/fantasy (the King's chef; the ship Captain's errand boy), so it might not grab any attention..." QUERY ME PLZ #MSWL

Naomi Davis The Caffeinated @NaomisLitPix · 9 Apr 2018

And if you're like "I'm not 100% sure this sci-fi/fantasy works for the genre because it's more about the sibling/BFF relationship as they navigate the speculative world..." QUERY ME PLZ #MSWL
