In 2022, I will continue to build my list with stories that amaze me from the beginning. I believe that all people deserve to see themselves in books, so above everything I will be seeking stories that showcase diversity. Cheers!

I REALLY want some COLLEGE-AGE YA! I binged The Sex Lives of College Girls and just adored these characters so much. I want to see diversity, humor, willingness to be messy, friendship, and honesty.

There can be romance, but it doesn't need to be the center of it all.

Happy 2022! May this year bring us more wonderful things and rest. Time to update my #MSWL, but first:

YA: I'd love more light, funny YA featuring diverse characters, including rom-coms. (Note though that a rom-com would need deeper threads, more to the plot than romance.) We'd also love more on the edges of YA--younger characters just entering HS, or older ones starting college.

Specifically, I'd love some regional crime or some small-town mysteries. I'd also love to see some diversity in my detectives (and as much as I love police procedural, I'd also be keen to read some non-police detective characters!) #mswl
