Since I'm caught up on queries and subs to Jan 11th, I will take this time to say that for 2019, I'm on a major hunt for some diverse YA (in any genre). It's my #1 goal this year to find some books like those by Samira Ahmed & Jason Reynolds, or Neal Shusterman & Marie Lu #MSWL

I love YA fantasy and I’m looking for diverse stories and #ownvoices here. Where are the Latinx witches and kingdoms? Take me to places based off of cultures like my own, and not like my own. I like contemp, court intrigue, plot twists and tropes (and spins on tropes too) #MSWL

I’m looking for historical romance that is warm and tropey, high concept and engaging. I also like high concept historical romance that goes dark and explores characters a la Kerrigan Byrne. Where are the diverse and #ownvoices historicals? #MSWL

I’m not seeing enough #YA #Horror in my query inbox and I need it! Dying for some creature feature horror novels featuring a diverse cast & a creature that’s truly terrifying. #MSWL

Secondly, YA: I love genre stuff, fantasy, sci-fi, even the right historical. I'd love to see some really high-concept stand alone, too. And in all things, diverse voices, diverse stories, under-represented points of view, ALWAYS. #MSWL
