I love houses that are characters (TURN OF THE SCREW, LITTLE STRANGER, THE DUTCH HOUSE etc). Not horror, but a little eerie/creepy/ghosty works for me! #mswl

Every once in awhile I think back to a bit on Last Podcast on the Left where they went on & on about this spooooky music box song a listener wrote in about & how it was so familiar though she’d never heard it before. The guys agreed that it eerily just opened your mind somehow…#mswl 👀

Hey #MSWL: Am seeking a great love story with dimension, humor, and a strong commercial hook. Think ONE DAY or THE LIGHT WE LOST, but not necessarily a weepy. I am esp eager to read #ownvoices stories or underrepresented narratives in this space.I’m bumping this #MSWL ask up, too. Send me a temporary escape, please! One that makes forget how weird it is that my last load of laundry consisted, largely, of face masks in various sizes...

Many romance ms submissions pay too much attention to the exes in unnecessary & clichéd ways, giving them a generic feel.I want to see more heroines who broke up with their exes for reasons other than cheating. And fewer heroines who are brokenhearted after being dumped. #MSWL
There are so many reasons relationships don’t work out. Adding nuance to the ex/backstory can add depth and real emotional stakes to the potential conflicts your MCs face. #mswl
