I'm a little tired of "popular" time periods, the Civil War or WWII, unless you have a really new and interesting take on it. A good example would be Rosella Postorino's AT THE WOLF'S TABLE about Hitler's food tasters. There are a lot of Pacific theater stories to tell tho. #mswl

#MSWL YR/MG/YA graphic novels! Great art is the priority: by great I mean clean, expressive, well--and cleverly!--laid-out. You can do a lot with a little, but if you do a lot, those details better suck my face into the page. That+adorable, funny, heartbreaking characters.

I love stories rooted in obsession, fixations, wild fascinations. Sometimes the best way to connect to a character is through their most firmly held interests or hobbies #mswl

Taylor Swift's LOOK WHAT YOU MADE DO but in a novel #MSWL

I would be very here for a middle grade mystery set entirely on a train, with the protagonists traveling as unaccompanied minors cross-country. Whether or not the train's magical. . . *shrug* #MSWL

Yaaaassss!!! I want Audrey’s story. Especially with her family. #MSWL #SFF
