- thrillers that aren't centered on/launched by murder
- #ownvoices folklore from cultures that are underrepresented in the English market

#MSWL Remember those YA romantic dystopian books from 10-15 years ago? LEGEND, SHATTER ME - I even count HUNGER GAMES here. I'd LOVE to see some new, fresh romantic dystopian!

(No plague-based books or books where the world is dystopian because it's misogynist, though, please.)

For Marisa, her favorite tropes in romance are the ones that make the readers second-guess themselves, starting off with stronger emotions only to find themselves falling in love with the LI, at the same rate the MC does!

These are books that do fun things w/genre boundaries and/or hit "gap" areas of the market: voice-y lower MG, adventurous (or romantic) upper MG/lower YA, upper YA & New Adult.

#MSWL I’d love some fun, voice-y school dramas both MG and YA. Kids scheming things, kids getting away with things, kids having adventures on fieldtrips gone awry!

And I'm happy to look at projects with unusual formats like The Tapper Twins series.
