It's pretty quiet today at @bookendslit (okay it's dead), so I think today would be good for some #MSWL In this #thread and throughout the day.Having just finished reading Dry by Neal Shusterman & Jarrod Shusterman I am obsessed with finding something similar with an adult perspective (YA versions should go to @TracyMarchini ) #MSWL

Ways fantasy can be dynamic without relying on Tolkien-inspired landscapes, creatures, or Chosen One tropes:- Add a second power to the world that isn't humans. Be creative with this: perhaps the king must confer with the birds or frogs before charging to war.
More about my adult fantasy #MSWL - Query me if your story fits!

So, fortunately and unfortunately, I have SO MANY fantasy and sci-fi projects that I've signed and that I still have to read and decide, which means I'll probably only like maybe one or two #sffpit pitches today. I'm sorry! But the rest of #TeamCorvisiero will be out in force! pic.twitter.com/INYAOgs8jGIn addition to this, I'm looking for some great YA and adult contemporaries and contemporary romances! 🎉 Also, I'm still on the lookout for a MG author to add to #TheFellowship! ❤️ So if you have something that matches my #MSWL, shoot me a query with the MSWL mention! 😁

Very specific: A, YA, or MG about a painter (or apprentice to, or child of) during the 1666 London Fire. Straight HF or hist fantasy #mswlCurrently listening to THE WEIGHT OF INK, which is about a female Jewish scribe in 1660s London. Talk about specific!

Because I suck at organizing tweet threads on mobile: here's an expansion of my #MSWL for fantasy (adult, but I'll consider YA too) #amwriting #amquerying #querytip
I'm not trashing established tropes in fantasy.
I'm saying: Do not feel bound by them.
Fantasy is limitless.
