2025 is here and I'm so excited to see what this year has in store for my #mswl ✨

I'm actively continuing to grow my adult and #kidlit lists this year and I'm also looking to expand into #nonfiction . Here's what I'm on the lookout for in these categories 🧵⬇️

🕸 We are open to queries 🕸

For adult books, I'm mainly seeking horror, rom coms, and any other pacey contemporary story you think I might love!
Here are some of my recent favorites. #MSWL

Funny Story by Emily Henry
The Rachel Incident by Caroline O'Donoghue
The Things We Do to Our Friends by Heather Darwent
The Villa by Rachel Hawkins

I'm seeking more horror in 2025! Adult, YA, or MG, send me your spooky stories.

I also love social commentary in the vein of YELLOWFACE.

What's at the top of my #MSWL in 2025? Women's Driven Fiction, Book Club Fiction, sweet adult rom-coms, YA, and MG. 🧵#writingcommunity #authorcommunity

as I’m opening to queries in a few days, it’s time for a proper #mswl . I’m looking for YA/adult SFFH and serious trade non-fic in the broad history/sociology space. I’m very keen on the literary end of genre, as well as commercial stories that say something about society. 1/?

👉 Adult suspense, thriller, or horror with unrelenting tension.
👉 Dark, intense stories with twists that leave me breathless.
👉 Genre-blending romance, especially horror romance. Anything that pushes the boundaries of romance while keeping the emotional core intact. (2/4)

🎵It’s TIIIIIIIME! 🎶
I saw a lot of incredible queries in 2024, and my experiment of opening my inbox one week a month worked out well. I was able to stay on top of my inbox and meet my personal goal of getting my response times waaaaaay down. That said, I’m still going through Sept-Dec queries…

#MSWL I'm open to submissions! But hurry! Just until 20 Dec, and I'm looking for:
- Adult space: near-future, light scifi that feel like they're set 10 minutes into the future, where there's just one or two elements that are otherworldly. Char-driven & strong pacing a must. No hard SciFi

- Adult space: Horror that is sometimes beautiful with a setting that can feel like a character. No splatterpunk. Deeper psychological themes a plus. Strong pacing & character driven a must.

- Adult space: Contemp light fantasy & magic systems that can be mistaken for just things out of the ordinary happening to happen. Grounded in the real world a must. Strong pacing & char driven only please.

In all of these, deeply emotional/surprisingly beautiful is a plus.

very specific things I am looking for right now #mswl
- non-western retellings
- Goosebumps for adults
- anything that can be comped to THE REAPPEARANCE OF RACHEL PRICE (YA & adult)
- just unhinged FMCs (take that as you will)
- something that will make me sleep with lights on

I am thrilled to announce I've started as an associate agent @FinePrintLit ! QM 🔗 in replies! So thrilled and grateful for the opportunity. I am open for queries.

Also #MSWL If anyone is querying an Adult feminist dystopian or a MG that feels like a true crime documentary, please comment so I can drop you a direct query link. As always— queer and marginalized voices welcome

Really hungry for adult/New Adult contemporary romance: sweet, steamy, romcom, poly, why choose, forced proximity, enemies to lovers, slow burn. YA contemporary rom, dark academia, gothic, horror, sf. Adult horror, thriller, psychological. Soft-med fantasy, sf, space opera #MSWL

Adult or YA contemporary romance with a speculative element (think sliding doors, time loops, things like that!) .

To go with the new Bluesky life, I thought i'd reshare the updated #MSWL on the Bell Lomax Moreton website [link in bio]. Please have a browse and send me some great books.

I am open to queries! #WritingCommunity #MSWL
Always in the vibe for magic and historical settings, dark academia, enemies to lovers (to enemies!), slow burn, unique curses, bad bargains, and morally gray characters I can't resist loving☺️ (NA, adult)

I'd love adult or YA horror that goes beyond the haunted house. I'm ready for something new.

I am not the right agent for slashers. I'm okay with gore/body horror, but if it outweighs the suspense/atmosphere/creeping dread, then it's likely not a good fit. #mswl
