Forget Dark Academia, you know what we need? Dark Townies. Fucked-up kids doing weird rituals whilst working awful retail jobs, or lurking behind the bars in ancient pubs...#MSWL , I grew up in a nothing rural-adjacent market town and god lord, we searched and hoped to uncover dark conspiracies and spookiness most foul. We didn't find any, so send me some if your book is in that world.
