Tips for Hallmark cozy mysteries:
- the police can be misdirected, but not inept
- an amateur sleuth should have good reasons why s/he has a particular knack for solving mysteries, and strong motivations for getting involved.

#MSWL I know I've been tweeting a lot about #YA & #MG projects, but I'm still looking for some really fabulous #WF. High concept, great voice, accessible writing. Wow me with something I haven't seen before.

Kristy Hunter @KristySHunter · 7 Nov 2018

Also in #YA looking for historical (ish) projects. Something in the vein of THE GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO VICE AND VIRTUE. Nothing that takes itself too seriously #MSWL

I'd love to see some more fun, quirky #MG in my inbox right now #MSWL. Looking for that wonderful voice that just sucks you in

"I’ve been fascinated by this actual event for a decade. Looking for a historical women’s fiction/book club book about garment district’s 1911 shirtwaist fire tragedy." @carlywatters #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

Ali Herring @HerringAli · 6 Nov 2018

I remember this movie that ends with a boy & girl from Earth being dropped off on a planet somewhere in the cosmos to start over/2nd chance, this while I think Earth's being destroyed/punished for our failures. Riff on this w/YA or MG. What happened/happens to these kids #MSWL.

#mswl: A funny, modern middle-grade voice that reminds me of Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging. If you're out there, email me! ebewley@sll.com.
