I'd love more #Mindfulness, #body, and #spirit self-help proposals for @vivaeditions. Specifically those that weave together humor and socially progressive values #MSWL #books #editor #literary #agents #amwriting

I would DIE for a YA about a teen girl obsessed with true crime. #MSWL

On my fantasy/scifi #MSWL I often say I like stories to play with time. This doesn't necessarily mean time travel. My FAVORITE movie/short story is Arrival/Story of Your Life by Ted Chiang. The way time is used in that RUINED ME in the best way. Play with big concepts like time.

Now that @VeroniKaboom has explained it to me, I totally want a cinnamon roll protags in my m/m romance #MSWL #toopreciousforthisworld

Mandy Hubbard @MandyHubbard · Apr 13

#MSWL: I would love a scifi YA where--and just hear me out here--someone takes a werewolf and puts it ON the moon, and also puts a vampire on the sun, and somehow this makes sense.

YA You've Got Mail (alt: Shop Around the Corner) but with dating apps #MSWL

.@bookendslit has always been a leader in the cozy mystery market, but the one thing we are missing is more diversity in cozies. #Ownvoices authors, please bring us cozies (and mysteries of all kinds). #MSWL @RachMBrooks

On this beautiful day, I am realllly in the mood for some LGBTQIA cinnamon-rolls-fall-in-love YA or MG contemporary #MSWL

Sam Sykes @SamSykesSwears

Breakfast Club, but they are at wizard school.

Bring It On, but they are at wizard school.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, but he’s at wizard school.

It’s just that easy to make a new genre of film, fellas.

YES—give me “Bring It On” at wizard (or space) school! #mswl

I want #SFF stories about socioeconomic disparities at academic institutions.

Public school zoning on Mars? Affirmative action at fantasy college? Exploitation of student athletes at interstellar universities? PLEASE.

So narrative non-fiction seemed in demand at the Fair, but for some reason I am actually hankering for a fresh concept in pop-science right now! Send ‘em my way! 🤓 #mswl

Last night I dreamt that I was pitching a book where the comps were Mary Shelley, The Yellow Wallpaper, and Fight Club and damnit, why couldn't that have been real life #MSWL

I sooo want to read stories with characters like these. #MSWL pic.twitter.com/C0UVEuA5c9

Me too! Great article in the New Yorker from Molly Ringwald just makes me want it more. I’d also love to see a manuscript with the action and angst of Back to the Future. #MSWL

Lauren Spieller @laurenspieller · Apr 12

I am craving a gorgeous revenge fantasy in YA or Adult. #MSWL

Chatting with an editor this morning and talking about how badly I want a book that talks about sex for kids under 3rd grade (bc all the books I can find are for older readers) and my 5yo WANTS ANSWERS. #mswl

I'm open to queries again, folks! And I'm getting tons of great ones. (My #MSWL here: bit.ly/2v9tFiX) If you get a full request from me, I've got a list of things I'm looking for (which will be listed in the email you get) that is far more than simply a synopsis.
