#MSWL: crime families with a twist (in the vein of Holly Black’s CURSE WORKERS series).

Susan, A Ghost @Grahamophones · May 3

One of my fave movie/tv tropes is solving a crime/resolving medical crises while trapped on a plane unable to land - stakes AND a timeline, and I would be into that as a #mg just saying #mswl

My current nonfiction #MSWL: true crime, history/politics, philosophy, military history, astronomy, astrophysics, "weird" science, philosophy, select memoirs, and earth sciences by experts in their field, especially volcanology or SHARKS. I cannot stress SHARKS enough. #querytip

I would DIE for a YA about a teen girl obsessed with true crime. #MSWL

Rachel Beck @Rachel_C_Beck · Mar 29

Looking for some strong voices in nonfiction at the moment! I am especially itchy for true crime (think Forensic Files!), compelling narrative memoirs, career/personal development/growth, or select works in the health sector (cancer, Alzheimer's, brain/memory books) #MSWL

Who is my favorite crime writer? Hands down, @leonardchang. Would love to find a project like THE LOCKPICKER, one of my favorite books from 2017. #MSWL

Katie "and the raven was called sin" McGuire @katiemickgee · Mar 19

Ooh also: Patty Hearst. Or just true crime, in general. Or something about how genuinely frightening the 70s were. #MSWL

This is a PSA! Wind River is now on @netflix. You have no excuse not to go watch it. Right. Now. Also, total #MSWL. I want a crime narrative shedding light on #MMIW. washingtonpost.com/news/worldview…

Sometimes I forget not everyone grew up with a mother obsessed with true crime and serial killers. A novel along the lines of Netflix's MINDHUNTER meets THE FEMALE OF THE SPECIES would be 👌🙌 #MSWL
