2. Adult thrillers/suspense: I like stories w/ top notch characterization + a slow burn, and also stories that are gripping page turners that I finish in one sitting. A few favorites: Ruth Ware, Rhiannon Navin, Wendy Heard, Gillian Flynn, Danya Kukafka, Oyinkan Braithwaite #mswl

I’m eager to find YA thrillers, mysteries, psychological suspense that are brilliantly plotted. Think the work of Tiffany D. Jackson, Lamar Giles, E. Lockhart’s WE WERE LIARS, Karen McManus, etc. All would love to find original horror like WILDER GIRLS. #mswl

I'm also looking for that book-club/psych thriller middle-ground, in the vein of Liane Moriarty, where there are lots of dark secrets and surprising twists and characters that could be someone you know.

Dark, twisted, borderline disturbing… these are all words I’d use to describe my interest in thrillers + my internet search history. Not really looking for gore at the moment, but definitely into psychological elements. Especially fictionalized accounts of actual crimes. #MSWL

I'd particularly like to see more thrillers of all sorts featuring BIPOC protagonists. (I have asked for this in the past and received great submissions, and I cannot wait to see even more.) #MSWL
