I love a closed-system story: think submarine or generation ship. How do you survive and navigate conflicts when there's no escape? #MSWL

I'm a sucker for a great first-contact SF with really interesting aliens and the real sense of discovery of a new world—but with a real understanding of the conflicts of colonialism. THE SPARROW is the goal here. #MSWL

Solar system or galaxy-spanning space opera. (NO humanoid aliens though!) Big story, big scale, big worldbuilding. Lotsa spaceships. #MSWL

A big-idea philosophical abolitionist SF. Think THE DISPOSSESSED. Show me a world where how we address violence and harm is totally different, and what stories that engenders. (I really, really want this, but it really, really, no kidding, has to be great to work.) #MSWL

When I say I’m seeking “light” SF, I mean where the world fits the sci-fi genre, but the story is more about the conflict and characters. It’s why I like SNOWPIERCER (2013) as a comp—science fiction informs the setting and carries a message, but it's a backdrop to the rebellion.
