#MSWL amazing writers on their musical obsessions. biographies of iconic women. smart writing on bad TV shows. secret histories of feminist heroes. love letters to pop music. cultural critiques from within the culture. the book you can't stop writing.

#MSWL Contemporary inspirational and/or sweet romance (think Hallmark). Category Romance as well as longer length. Shorter word count to fit Love Inspired, Love Inspired Suspense. If writing with these or Hallmark lines in mind, look at their submission guidelines for reference.

And a couple of evergreen #MSWL for me: Fun and sexy rom-coms! Thrillers that surprise me and dissect genre norms (think SADIE that plays with the true-crime podcast)!

#Thrillers any age that send shivers to my toes. You can keep all the blood and gore but give me your dark and twisties — something that has me at the end of my seat #MSWL

I am a big reality TV fan and am searching for books that get the complex interpersonal dynamics right. Show me behind the scenes drama, the truth about on screen chemistry and dive into the nitty-gritty of the push and pull between reality and Reality. #MSWL

#MSWL YA or MG fantasy, sci-fi or realistic that deals with climate change.

In all ages and genres I am seriously hoping to see more books starring mc's with disabilities. #ownvoices especially encouraged. I want to see stories that show the full range of life and experiences--joy, accomplishments, ambition, sadness, friendship, love. #MSWL

I would love to see a YA (or upper MG) that focuses on the teen activist movement. Whether contemporary or historical, I want to see honest portrayals of how teens organize and mobilize. #MSWL

I’d love more stories about badass women in history - show me women who helped change their world. Who stood up for their convictions with their brains or their brawn #MSWL

In kidlit more broadly (PB-YA) I am on the hunt for more NF that teaches and inspires in a fun accessible way. I lean towards non-fiction that focuses on a specific event or person, that really digs in to give us a clear picture as opposed to broad themes #MSWL

Horror & horror. All types & ages (mg, ya, adult). Could be super scary. Psychological. Thriller. Mystery. Warm Bodies-esque. Odd Thomas-esque. Any way you slice it. #MSWL

Happy #MSWL day! I just watched ALWAYS BE MY MAYBE on Netflix and would love to see a fun foodie #YA #ms like that which delivers big on ethnic flavors amidst a fun #RomCom setting. I’d also love to see more #NF or graphic NF aimed at middle graders!

MG that thrills me. Bring me action, friendship, magic, fast-pace and fierce characters #mswl

And, by extension, the death-centric rituals we perform throughout time and culture in order to hold onto a person's memory/essence. #MSWL

As always, I'm looking for stories by marginalized voices. I'd really want to see more body diversity in #MG and #YA. #MSWL

#MSWL You know how ghosts are often described in Victorian-era clothes? I'd love a creepy book that links all the Victorian ghosts back to death-centric rituals/obsessions of that era--the hair rings, eating ashes, etc.

An upmarket novel featuring a black girl band (or other poc band) or singer, rapper, etc. think ON THE COME UP, but for adults. #MSWL

Would also love an ownvoices sweeping literary family saga that focuses on generational inheritance in any sense (trauma, land, etc.) #MSWL
