"I’m interested in love stories that may not fit the definition of romance, such as found family, platonic soulmates, and relationships without a happily ever after."
Rose Ferrao #MSWL

"I would love an atmospheric environmental thriller or mystery akin to WILD DARK SHORE by Charlotte McConaghy or FORCE OF NATURE by Jane Harper where the wild setting is a main character."
Marina Green #MSWL

Have been thinking about this book since I finished it so not only is this a recommendation but also a #mswl

Using publishing's slow month of August to catch up on open queries. I'll be reopening in September for a short period looking for a few specific things. I'm most excited to find a compelling queer take on lit RPG, dystopian, and continued authentic representation in stories.

"Give me The Secret Garden (1993 film adaptation) but for adults."
Gemma Paynter #MSWL

"I want an LGBTQIA+ novel in the vein of ONE DAY, A LOVE SONG FOR RICKI WILDE (high concept, unique structure, deep and sweeping love story)."
Carly Watters #MSWL

Open to queries for the first week of August!

Really hoping to get more nonfiction submissions.

For fiction: forever and always, anything gothic and magical🖤

More of my #MSWL is on my website.

Wicker peen. That’s it. Send me your weird books #mswl

"I would love fantasies with unique magic systems, strong characters, and stories inspired by myth or folklore, particularly outside the Western canon."
Marina Green #MSWL

Reminder to Authors: I acquire for an imprint at a publisher that does not accept unagented submissions, so if you’re interested in submitting to me, make sure to pass on the note to your agent or future agent!

Genres I’m open to: romance, fantasy/speculative, mystery/thrillers, horror, historical, lyrical contemporary (more so coming of age with a strong romance thread & a story that weaves in heart & humor - I’m typically not the best fit for contemporary rom-coms in general), novels in verse 2/3

Help me make my YA list more genderqueer! I’d especially love to see high-concept, layered novels from trans voices (especially intersectional) but am open to folks across the entire genderqueer umbrella. Some of my faves: The Honeys, Hell Followed With Us, Felix Ever After, Cemetery Boys #MSWL 1/3

"I'd like to see more speculative fiction, and psychological thrillers in my inbox."
