7) Another adult nonfiction I’d die to rep (pun intended) is anything about death. Alternative funerals, at home body care, an emphasis on choice. I’d love something by a #deathdoula or an anthology from #hospice nurses.

6) For YA, I would love a high concept thriller, something broody and moody but also tightly plotted in the fantasy/horror space (I adore "House of Hollow"!!), and heart-wrenching, emotional sci-fi like "The Ones We're Meant to Find."

5) I am obsessed with adult thrillers and would love to find anything that comps to Lucy Foley, Eliza Jane Brazier, Laurie Elizabeth Flynn, May Cobb, Jeneva Rose. Make me connect with characters that have a surprise dark side, and then twist the knife into me at the end!

4) In the adult nonfiction space, I'm dying for books by LGBTQ+ evangelicals who are challenging the Christian space from within the faith and bringing new perspectives (Kate Bowler, Matthew Vines, Rachel Held Evans)

3) Heartfelt and complex romance. I would die for anything that comps to "Seven Days in June" by Tia Williams, anything by Emily Henry, or "Reminders of Him" by Colleen Hoover

2) Rom-coms with a high concept situation that can be summarized quickly and make people go "ooooh" (think You've Got Mail, The Rehearsals by @MsAnnetteMC , Dream On by Angie Hockman)

I’d especially like to see something that takes inspiration from concepts like the Backrooms, or Severance - I love that creepy liminal space genre.

For sci-fi horror, I love it all. Creepy sentient alien spaceships, Event Horizon vibes, The Luminous Dead, The Last Astronaut,The Thing, The Descent, Underwater - give it to me…

When it comes to near future, I want to see books that remind me of Arrival: first contact through a new lens. I also LOVED Ascension, and anything with that sci-fi thriller feel, with the caveat that if you would comp it to Black Mirror, it’s not for me.
