I'd really love to laugh, like a book about a bunch of aunties the rest of the community thinks are well past their prime--and I want to see them as full, gossipy, pushy people; what do they want? (And we return to BANDIT QUEENS!)
I want a mystery that characters wish they hadn't solved. A mystery that isn't about the mystery, really, at all, but about the people--the kind of ending that feels inevitable, like putting these people in that room at once--well, nothing else could have happened.
give me Heathcliff, give me the lover that has so misunderstood what love is that they perform deeds that leave them bloody. Give me a love that has soured and make me yearn for it anyways. I want more hauntings, more ghost stories.
Give me Practical Magic, I'm begging you.
My main goal this year is to build out my adult list, so I'm eagerly looking for more #mystery #suspense #thriller, book club and upmarket fiction! #MSWL

I know the latest season of YOU has been getting a lot of flack, but I'm unabashedly addicted. YOU has been a #MSWL stalwart for me, but I'm loving the Agatha Christie twist this time around... I'd love for something similar to land in my inbox... 👀🕵️♀️🔪🖋️

"In adult fiction, I love interesting voices/POVs, dual timelines with a historical feel, rhythmic language, and anything that is both an engaging and accessible read, while being thought-provoking and layered at the same time."
#MSWL Thought a beat late for Thursday’s fest, how much would I love to see a thriller called THE SENSITIVITY READER? (And a long-married forty-something’s hijinks attempting an affair…while rediscovering just how much she/he/they love their spouse.)
