"Psychological thrillers with new twists on my favorite classic tropes: unstable (or unhinged) narrators, missing memories or time, seemingly decent people with dark pasts, stalking, gaslighting in any form."

Just once I want to read a summer romance novel about someone who quits their city job to run a lighthouse in a remote location only to realize the single ship they’re monitoring is the one that carries souls to the underworld and hey, the captain is kind of hot#MSWL 100% would rep (if executed to perfection of course!)

Something I didn’t know I wanted on my #mswl
• fairy tale or classic retellings/reimaginings
• modern stories about characters from fairy tales/classics and themes from said stories

"Deep dives into specific events and people fascinate me, such as THE RADIUM GIRLS: THE DARK STORY OF AMERICA'S SHINING WOMEN, THE IMMORTAL LIFE OF HENRIETTA LACKS, and THE VINYL FRONTIER: THE STORY OF NASA'S INTERSTELLAR MIXTAPE."

And as always, I'm still looking for commercial fiction across the board but predominantly in crime/thriller, accessible book club and romance spaces. Make me laugh, cry or scared to read at night!

And I would also love a fictional novel (book club is probs most appropriate genre) looking at someone who cooks death row meals for inmate's final meals.
Inspired by this poem I love from Shan Koyczan genius.com/Shane-koyczan-restaurant-lyrics
& also this real life story

I also recently came across queeringthemap.com (I know, very late to this) and it made my heart full and achey. I would love a romance novel that ties this concept in... it's beautiful and full of yearning and nostalgia and drama and gossip.

Okay so I have more on my super specific wish list (beyond all the usual: really good commercial fiction that will make me want to scream about it from the rooftops)...
I've already covered a thriller (or romance) set in a Fire Lookout in the US:

I don't have anything for you, but I just want to echo that this is what my 10-year-old kid is wanting to read too! (Especially queer crushes.)#MSWL Cool, yeah, I almost want some of those sweet romance harlequin romance writers, maybe LI and LIS authors, to try their hand at a novel for tweens with those Hallmark vibes. Think around 55K words would work great.
