Illustrated graphic novels and graphic nonfiction by individual author/illustrators. MG, YA, Adult. The art needs to cleverly utilize the comics storytelling format. I’m not looking at script-only submissions at the moment. #MSWL

And of course, I can’t stay away from gorgeously written MG fantasy. There’s a lot of it out there though, so I need to read a truly unusual concept to keep my interest. #MSWL

I love MG novels featuring characters with specific, compelling interests. A pre-teen who has built their entire personality around That Thing they love. The more obscure, the better. #MSWL

In MG, I’m still looking for the perfect animal story! Think Silverwing, Pax, even Watership Down or Bunnicula. This could go in so many directions—I just really love animal characters! #MSWL

I am especially keen to find YA mysteries & love stories, anything with an unreliable narrator & voicey MG characters who know their own minds! 🤗 I love historical & also contemporary adventures with a twist! Glorious writing is top of my wishlist - ALWAYS! #MSWL

Would love an MG or YA book whose theme/lesson is "sometimes your family sucks and you don't have to put them first actually." #mswl

I get a lot of "family is the most important thing" books which is sweet and all but... does not match my experience or that of many of my friends

This sounds like a beautifully chaotic MG novel (or if it’s in high school and these are Valentine grams ❤️ YA) #MSWL

Would love to see a YA "Bad Sisters" or a Sarah Dessen-type novel with BIPOC main characters. Would also love an MG with some badass main characters. How about a PB with a crazy, funny twist at the end? #MSWL
