As I typed this thread I realize this sounds slightly masochistic bc who the FUCK wants to live in extremely painful emotion all the time rightBUT
It’s also a way to process our own hurts. To have them, even briefly, outside of ourselves. To have them be tangible.
Idk how to wrap this up this is literally just me rambling and plastering my thoughts on the internet but
IDK JUST SEND ME EMOTIONAL ASS HORROR OKAY
IT’S AN AMAZING AND OFTEN UNDERUTILIZED GENRE AND I JUST WANT ALL OF IT
(#MSWL I guess??)

I'd also love more spooky/horror MG. Give me fantastic monsters, nature-based villains (like a forest or swamp), and something weird and twisty. I'll take it in YA too. #mswl

Okay! One more to close out the night, and this one is YA horror. This one I love because it's definitely 1, Welcome to Night Vale vibes, which is completely #MSWL for me. And 2, it makes me LAUGH. My sense of humour is... a little shy... but this book nails it.
I'm barely scratching the surface... psychological horror! Character-driven literary fantasy! Someone stop me!
But I'm gonna take a break for now.
Can't wait to bring some amazing books into the world @DelacortePress!! ❤️

I just want a book like Netflix’s Marianne but actually queer. #MSWL I really only want to read horror with queer characters that’s fresh right now.

Y’all know I love Horror. Do y’all know that the first movie I ever saw was Child’s Play? That I grew up on that series, and Nightmare on Elm St, and Friday The 13th?
I like my horror with comedy, scares, and a largely teen cast. W/genre bends like The Final Girls (2015) #mswl

“I’d really love to get more YA horror in my inbox. Smart horror. I don’t want gore, I want a story that creeps me out, and asks questions I don’t want answers to.” @ericsmithrocks #MSWL ericsmithrocks.com/mswl

I also love horror horror - YA, middle-grade, even commercial-literary adult fiction. Creepy, cinematic psychological horror with some kind of genre twist or social justice message would be an absolute dream.

I'd also love some comedy-horror in middle-grade. I don't know what that looks like, but I do know I love ghosts and zombies.
