My absolute weakness is a revenge story. If anyone has a fantasy project full of angst, betrayal, revenge, twisty politics, a sprinkle (or a lot) of yearning, I want to read it.

for more sci-fi, fantasy and mystery queries rises! #mswl

Because I have so many (pretty much all) fantasy on my list, I’m extremely selective with it right now. However, I am a sucker for any type that explores non-western cultures and folklore

I've gotten a lot of SFF queries lately, so please keep in mind:
YES - near future, primary world, humans or mostly humans, plausible tech, the supernatural
NO - alien races, fantasy creatures, swords & sorcery, invented languages, magical kingdoms, intergalactic anything

I'm drawn to ambitious, complex, & weird stories. I love intelligent characters with complex morality. I'm a fan of fantasies grounded in the contemporary world that seamlessly blends magic. If your story features romance of any kind, I'm all in.

Fantasy built around religion, especially Jewish fantasy, is fine, but please, no religious texts.

I represent MG, young adult, & adult speculative fiction (including science fiction, fantasy, horror, & cross-genre books). In all age groups, my taste gravitates toward speculative fiction with subtle romance & lush prose. Horror, mystery, & romance elements are my soft spot.
