I’m also really keen on black comedy, I loved My Sister the Serial Killer and would love to find writing in that vein as well as big juicy regional family drama that spans generations.

My list is pretty speculative so I'd love more contemporary! Anything that explores platonic and romantic relationships, family, growing up, difficult decisions, etc.

As always, I'm on the lookout for queer representation. I'd particularly love to see:

1. More identity discovery/first crushes in MG
2. Sapphic YA rom-coms
3. More queer works by BIPOC authors
4. Queer stories w/ happy endings
5. Supportive queer found families

At the moment, I'd say I want to see YA and MG that leads with joy. Falling in love. Doing something exciting. Exploring new worlds. Kids with quirky passions. Humor. Families (of all configurations) that love each other. #MSWL

For Adult, send me your romcoms or category romances! I’m also looking for big, juicy love stories. I live for the feels. I love women’s fiction on the light and fluffy side. Family stories, etc. Those are my kinds of stories #MSWL

i need more stories about immigrants, immigrant communities, and immigrant experiences - especially ones with a multi-generational family angle!! #mswl

Across the board, I will be prioritizing authors from marginalized communities. I'd love to see more Southern fiction by marginalized authors, think BOYS OF ALABAMA or BLACKTOP WASTELAND. Still dreaming of a sweeping multigenerational family saga by a Southern BIPOC author.

But also other relationships, esp when they’re complicated! Siblings, friends, ex friends, familial, etc. (honestly I just love people dynamics give me complex nuanced messy relationships on all levels)

Is it too much to ask for a modern, female-centric, MG version of THE SANDLOT? The varied friendships and subtle family drama and learning your fears aren't so scary and growing up/growing apart? So much to love! #MSWL

Graphic & hybrid novels & series are welcome too! Some examples there from my past titles would be DORK DIARIES and THE OKAY WITCH. Quintessential MG stories about finding your way through the labyrinth of family, school, & friendship twists and turns.

I really want some relatable women’s fiction about millennials finding their way in the world, taking the wrong paths and learning as they go. I want to see relationships tested —familial, friendships, romantic etc.

I want to see a book that covers how to talk about death and death planning sensitively but practically for the elderly and people with terminal illnesses and their family #MSWL

I want single parent stories, whether mom or dad or grandparent, that could cover themes of grief, abandonment, acceptance, or community, but ones where the character arc starts and ends at home. AND, if it's BIPOC, I want them thriving, y'all! #MG #YA #MSWL

#WritingCommunity, I always hear from editors who want sprawling, epic, family sagas. I TOO want one of those, especially one that’s from a marginalized author subverting the genre a bit and giving me all the feels. If you have this, PLEASE query me! #AmQuerying #MSWL
