Across all age categories, books that center around kids who are adopted or in foster care. This is a #MSWL that’s very near to my heart. There are not enough books out there with these kinds of protagonists and I’d like to see more of them in my inbox. #MSWL

A YA novel that comps to THE BOLD TYPE #MSWL

Spooky MG monster horror in the vein of Goosebumps. #MSWL

I may or may not have been a mermaid in a past life, and I’d love to see interesting and fresh mermaid stories at any age level. #MSWL

MG contemporary novels in the vein of HURRICANE SEASON by Nicole Melleby or AUGUST ISLE by Ali Standish. #MSWL

A sweeping MG or YA fantasy with epic stakes, bold themes, lush writing, and relatable characters. Bonus points for series potential. MG and YA fantasy is always at the top of my #MSWL and in these times, I especially want to lose myself in a smart, well-crafted world.

Throwing out a few Monday #MSWL items into the universe while we’re all still under quarantine. I’m enjoying doing this as I’m looking to build my list right now across PB, MG, and YA, with a focus in MG. Agent friends, if we haven’t connected yet, let’s!

Q2 2/3 A few things on my #MSWL are: a really up-to-date bodyguard story, stories set in amazing and perhaps unexpected locations (think superyachts or the Orient Express...) and a secret baby story where it’s the heroine who gets the surprise! #UKRomChat

This pandemic is hitting all of us differently on an emotional level, I know, but it's kind of making me crave stories about people worse off than we are... Does this make me a bad person?

Today is brought to you by the thesaurus, which reminded me of the word "fussbudget." I would like to read a romance novel featuring a fussbudget hero, please. (And, obviously, the person who undoes him.) #mswl

#MSWL Two teens fall in love over the phone. One is addicted to [insert dish] & is so terrified the restaurant will close during the pandemic, they order it every night. The other works for their mother’s restaurant, taking orders & such. Soon their hearts are READY FOR PICK-UP!

Big #MSWL energy for a middle grade caper about neighborhood kids solving a mystery while social distancing, so they can only communicate through windows and tin cans connected by string. REAR WINDOW meets LITTLE RASCALS. Someone write it, I beseech you!

Illustrated/graphic novel style non-fiction is something that I really want to see more of in my inbox!

Cookbooks and food are great, but I would love to see author/illustrator teams work on other topics as well like film, books, nature, science, pop culture, etc. #MSWL
