I hope that the biggest takeaway from yesterday in Romancelandia is that romance readers are clearly well-versed in the diversity of the Regency, are excited to see more of it, and trad pubs should be acquiring diverse historicals written by POC/marginalized authors.YES!!! And on that thought, I definitely want to see more diverse Regency, Gregorian, and Victorian YA in my inbox. I took three different Jane Austen classes in college--I have a mighty need #mswl

Rose Lavelle's grade school shared the following last night: "Once upon a time, this little girl dressed up as her hero, Mia Hamm, for a book sharing project ... Now, little girls everywhere look up to her, and will be working hard to become like Rose." bit.ly/2XDZ0Zi pic.twitter.com/9CGy0zxbmTI’m not crying, but that’s a lie—I’m totally crying. Totally on my picture book #MSWL !

Today I learned that Louisa May Alcott spent two unchaperone weeks in Paris with the real-life boy she based Laurie on and later scratched out all the pages in her diary about this trip and wrote “couldn’t be” in the margins. WHAT I WOULDN’T GIVE TO READ THAT DIARY.#MSWL and I am definitely not joking

Looking for some manga/anime to enjoy over the holiday in the vein of Ouran High School Host Club, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun, or Love is Hard for Otaku!Any recommendations?
Honestly, I'd love to see some YA that has the playfulness & emotional conflicts of these kinds of rom coms with diverse protagonists, too. #mswl
