I am also on the lookout for YA fantasy with a well-defined hook and a voice that sweeps me away, or an original concept involving ghosts or paranormal investigation. #MSWL

My tastes are similar in YA fiction, but with voice and content aimed at teen readers. Some specific requests include anything comparable to John Green or Stephen Chbosky, as well as in the vein of Netflix’s Atypical or The CW’s All American. #MSWL

I enjoy perceptive, emotionally resonant probes into the human condition, as well as witty and poignant examinations of relationship trials and triumphs. I can also be a fit for darkly comic or gritty tales of moral complexity. #MSWL

I usually prefer contemporary or near-historical realism, but will sometimes consider speculative fiction, fantasy, psych thrillers, lite dystopian, literary horror, and paranormal (especially dealing with ghosts). #MSWL

In adult fiction, my tastes are eclectic and anchored by extraordinary writing—across all genres, voice is my first and strongest consideration. I also love a vivid sense of place, an immersive atmosphere, and falling in love with well-drawn characters. #MSWL
