To be hyper specific, I’m looking for…

Horror! Any kind truly. I want my electric bill to be astronomical because of all the scary manuscripts I’m reading.
Literary fiction of any kind with a commercial hook (meaning descriptors like “lyrical” are not doing the heavy lifting in the pitch)

oh should also mention: i'm open to adult and YA at the moment for these genres (or i will be when i open back up to queries — trying to clear out my last few manuscripts first!)

- for sf & fantasy, i tend to lean more contemporary or literary-leaning than i do with commercial / traditional, but that doesn't mean i can't be surprised!
- my mswl has a lot of media & ~vibes~ that i'm drawn to, but i'd rather see an accurate comp than one that tries to match my exact examples

some specifics:
- in any genre, i look for characters i can really root for. i'm a hardcore Fan™️ about stuff i like so being able to invest in those stakes is my top priority
- for horror, almost anything goes! it's my fav genre so don't be shy. send me the gore 😈

*In light of the administration's anti-DEI stance, I'd love a kid-friendly history of the space program like THE NEW GUYS, THE SIX, or THE RIGHT STUFF.

*Any astronaut's out there with a story to tell? Say hi.

And I'd like to see some older characters for protagonists (over 40) in SFF and younger MC in Mystery. #MSWL
