I am HUNGRY for adult non fiction from expert voices in their field. I'm very, very open to a wide variety of topics (surprise me!), though anything about death, death doulas, menopause, chronic illness, and medical gaslighting is likely to catch my eye.

Very much still looking for horror in the adult, YA and MG space! Also, humorous mystery a la Only Murders/Finlay Donovan is (still) hitting my sweet spot.

In adult and YA fiction, I'd love to see genre blends--particularly thriller + romance / horror + romance / horror + fantasy!

On the adult side, I'm VERY much looking for book club fiction, i.e. upmarket, which is basically a commercial plot with literary writing. If you comp to Britt Marie Was Here or Eleanor Oliphant, PLEASE HIT SEND, thank you.

All of my (published) reads this year have been SO fun and delightful and different! Just finished "Everyone on this Train..." and omg it is PERFECTION. Total #mswl . I beg you to send me a manuscript that's a comp to this. Please. I'm on my knees.

7) Another adult nonfiction I’d die to rep (pun intended) is anything about death. Alternative funerals, at home body care, an emphasis on choice. I’d love something by a #deathdoula or an anthology from #hospice nurses.

6) For YA, I would love a high concept thriller, something broody and moody but also tightly plotted in the fantasy/horror space (I adore "House of Hollow"!!), and heart-wrenching, emotional sci-fi like "The Ones We're Meant to Find."

5) I am obsessed with adult thrillers and would love to find anything that comps to Lucy Foley, Eliza Jane Brazier, Laurie Elizabeth Flynn, May Cobb, Jeneva Rose. Make me connect with characters that have a surprise dark side, and then twist the knife into me at the end!

4) In the adult nonfiction space, I'm dying for books by LGBTQ+ evangelicals who are challenging the Christian space from within the faith and bringing new perspectives (Kate Bowler, Matthew Vines, Rachel Held Evans)

3) Heartfelt and complex romance. I would die for anything that comps to "Seven Days in June" by Tia Williams, anything by Emily Henry, or "Reminders of Him" by Colleen Hoover

2) Rom-coms with a high concept situation that can be summarized quickly and make people go "ooooh" (think You've Got Mail, The Rehearsals by @MsAnnetteMC , Dream On by Angie Hockman)

In honor of being 6 days out from opening to queries for the first time, a few top-of-wishlist #mswl items...

1) Romantasy, extra points for crossover. I know, I know. Everyone wants it. And so do I. ;) Extra points for sea shanty vibes, loyal animals, disability rep, LGBTQ+ rep
