In literary, I’m looking for things with beautiful but accessible writing, with strong characters and concept. I’ve loved Tomorrow x3, Tom Lake, and How High We Go In The Dark. I would also love to see something akin to the film Past Lives.

In YA, I’m looking for things at the upper end of the spectrum, and in the crossover space. I want YA with lyrical prose, heartfelt stories, and that take the feelings of young people seriously. I love I’ll Give You the Sun, All My Rage, We Are Okay, and Everything Sad is Untrue.

I’m picky with fantasy, and tend to go more for light fantasy (think The Raven Cycle. Buffy, or Ninth House). High fantasy needs to be accessible and character driven (a la Sarah J Maas).
