Picture books

#MSWL I am always seeking picture books featuring any elements of diversity! Including but not limited to racially diverse characters, LGBTQ+ themes, unique family arrangements, non-NT characters. #picturebook #kidlit

I love certain messages in PBs and am always seeking LGBTQ+ diverse & neurodiverse voices in PBs. But remember: story needs to be written for KIDS who read those books, not the parents/adults, in order for the message to be absorbed. Make it fun AND informative. #querytip #MSWL

In the vein of a conversation I eavesdropped and then subsequently inserted myself into (@thejumbles & @Alex_Borbolla), if someone has a #PB involving mountain goats being mountain goats (illus. or photo)... can I have it? #MSWL

Question for the room: Why aren't there more picture books starring highland cows, AKA hairy coos? #MSWL

Friendly reminder that picture books, MG, or YA novels about Brasilian culture or protagonists are at the top of my #MSWL ! Very hype to hear that @fsgbooks is publishing O sol na Cabeça by Geovani Martins!

Librarian friends, has there ever been a picture book starring a dog in a cone (am I missing something obvious)? If not...author/illustrators, here is your inspiration. #mswl

#MSWL for picture books. This is the diversity and fun books I NEED more of. @JessieSima can do no wrong and this is my gold standard now for PBs.

My #MSWL Madness post is up on the BookEnds blog! I talk about what I'm looking for in #pb, #mg, #ya and #gn fiction and nonfiction, and showcase the type of illustration that I have on my list: bookendsliterary.com/2018/03/15/tra…

These are the picture books I’m looking for. Everyday stories with diverse main characters. I would have repped her book. #MSWL #mirrors&windows
