"I'm on the lookout for Gothic horror and horror/romances that are fresh, unnerving, and get under my skin."

Have you written a contemporary dark romance? Maybe with one or more morally gray characters? Maybe one or both do things they shouldn’t? (Shocked gasp)

Send it to me please!

#MSWL A YA or NA paranormal fantasy in the vein of F. T. Lutkens. Romance definitely encouraged!

Having spent my early teens devouring dystopian novels, the genre will always have my heart. I’m drawn to apocalyptic, Orwellian, cyberpunk, Huxleyan, post-apocalyptic, & steampunk stories + those exploring history, propaganda, romance/thriller elements, & with an Arcane vibe!

Querying authors, I’m officially open to queries!!!

Please check my #mswl linked on my profile before querying 💕

In romance, however, I am really only looking for disability romances in the vein of KISSING KOSHER and CAN'T ESCAPE LOVE.

If your adult romance is not ABOUT disability, it's probably a better fit for one of my colleagues!

#MSWL update! I'm widening my adult genres just a bit. I already get a ton of horror crossover queries, so I'm officially opening the form to horror! I also am VERY selectively opening up to adult romance 🙈

In dark academia manuscripts, I look for atmospheric imagery and genre-blending elements in contemporary, gothic, historical, paranormal, or romantic subgenres. I also love when dark academia veers into magical libraries/museums, secret societies/cults, & mysterious friend groups!

If you're looking for more clarity on what I enjoy and look for in a romance manuscript, here are some books I've enjoyed from the genre!

I’m always a sucker for a good romance novel, so here are some things I look for in a romance manuscript. I especially love romance manuscripts with a contemporary, cozy, fantasy, gothic, historical, paranormal, sports, or romcom subgenre.

I’m seeking commercial fiction for YA and adult audiences, especially in the romance, fantasy, mythology, dark academia, horror, thriller, & dystopian genres.

"Romance novels like HOW TO END A LOVE STORY, LEFT OF FOREVER, ALIVE AND WELLS, NORA GOES OFF SCRIPT."

"I am seeking romantic fantasy, especially in the vein of Juliet Marillier, Prime’s MY LADY JANE, and EMPIRE OF SAND by Tasha Suri."

"I'm looking for voicey kid lit! For adult fiction, I'm still looking to grow my horror list and identity-driven book club fiction. I want to learn something new in non-fiction and find a project that helps others learn things in digestible ways." loveleemonicaa.bsky.social #mswl

It's not #MSWL Day anymore, but since I've opened back up to queries. Here's one more: the dynamic of Lady Heather and Grissom in CSI...but actually leading to an on-the-page romance.
