@pushthepanorama So encouraging, thanks for posting! Quick question: You've listed a lot of details on what you seek for MG & YA novels, but none for Graphic Novels. Do all those points apply to GNs too or...?Asking because I'm close to signing with an agent and sending out my debut MG GN!🙏😊
Hi Ashok! My middle grade and young adult details #mswl apply to prose, verse, and graphic novels so it definitely encompasses my GN tastes 😊

Woke up and realized I didn't because it's not that kind of epic fantasy, no swords here, and felt a lot better until it hit me this is debut year and panicked for other reasons 🙃I love VERY DIFFERENT fantasy. The more genre-bending the better. Kritika's books blend epic fantasy (no swords!) with a touch of sci fi, STRONG sense of place, & strong contemporary relevance. If you're wondering what I mean by "very different fantasy" on #MSWL - add this TBR!

Okay but can we PLEASE make 'cosy fantasy' a thing like ASAP? Don't get me wrong, I love dark and twisty books, but sometimes I just want to lose myself in another world without having to wonder when my favourite character's gonna get stabbed in the face.

Stayed up far too late finishing Reckless Girls by @LadyHawkins... perfect example of the sort of suspense I'm after at the moment. Escapist, feminist, chilling, a little bit sexy, multi POV, secrets-and-lies, a proper 'shut-the-front-door' ending... #mswl fodder indeed!
