I think of The Yellow Wallpaper endlessly, all the time. A horror novel or Women’s Fiction adaptation/play of this short story would slay me. #mswl

“I’m a biography buff but it needs to have a fresh voice and a new angle, send me your funky takes on biography. I loved SO WE READ ON, a biography of THE GREAT GATSBY.” @maureen_moretti #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/

This day was dominated by Samaritans who gathered supplies, left their homes and headed into the earthquake affected zones to hand out what they could. We saw them everywhere along the southwestern coast. pic.twitter.com/6MGYumlMjb

#MSWL you guys. I want stories of people helping each other out during the hardest of times and finding love and friendship and hope in the face of trauma. Bonus points if it takes place in PR.

(I reopen to queries Feb 1st)

I finally watched The Post (2017) and holy hot damn that was a hell of a movie. I want a historical novel on my list as tense and informative and relevant as that was. #MSWL

I’m NOT looking for overused tropes or stereotypes🤔 It's a new year and new decade. New books are being published 👏 Give me FRESH and FUN and NEVER SEEN BEFORE. ✨✨ THERE IS ROOM AT THE TABLE ✨✨

Kianna Shore @KiannaShore · Jan 10

I find a mixture of genres THRILLING. So something like historical crime I would LOVE. In fact, universe, PLEASE send me more #historical fiction. I’d also love to see some contemporary thrillers and mysteries - a sort of YA Gone Girl (fingers crossed!).

Kianna Shore @KiannaShore · Jan 10

The characters themselves can be as messy as Prince Zuko or as adorable as Adora! There should be some sort of internal conflict, some inner demons that they’re fighting. Give me angsty monster girls that dream of ruling the world or burning it down 🔥

Kianna Shore @KiannaShore · Jan 10

I am looking for character driven stories that are well written. I ♥️myself a complicated plot with scheming, cons, and playing the long game, but the characters must drive the story forward with their own wants and emotions.

Kianna Shore @KiannaShore · Jan 10

To those #amquerying folk, here is my #MSWL for 2020 (and a few reminders)! I am still primarily looking for #YA fiction. I’m yearning for stories written by underrepresented writers with their #ownvoices. Please send them ALL💯

I've received some great nonfiction queries this week for books about overlooked / misunderstood historical women. Keep 'em coming! #mswl
