In the #picturebook #PB realm, I'm really focusing on culturally grounded stories from marginalized authors and non-fiction that focuses on lesser known heroes/historical figures/etc. Here I love folklore, non-western mythology, etc. I don't typically tend to gravitate toward -

I'm interested in a wide range of fiction & would love to add more nonfiction to my list. I prefer NF to be accessible & conversational (in the vein of Mary Roach for kids), & often like nonfiction lessons packaged in a fun fictional story (like my client @Stef_Wade's books!).

NONFICTION: I am interested in SO MANY THINGS and I am begging, BEGGING, for the next Mary Roach to enter my inbox. Story-fying the truth or the weird is most important to me. Nonfiction needs voice as much as any novel. #MSWL

I am interested in books (both fiction and nonfiction) about rural places, small towns, insular communities, imagined or reshaped versions of these as well. My client, @swbrooman has a story collection, THE PUMP, that encapsulates what I would love to see. #MSWL

As far as nonfiction, I am looking for narrative nonfiction, science, and pop culture books. I am not looking for straight personal memoir, only memoirs that really explode with research, second and third angles, or tell a story beyond the self. #MSWL
