🎄 Alice S-H 🎄 @alibelleHello! Happy 2022! I will be back at my desk tomorrow morning and am excited to dive into what’s already shaping up to be an exciting year, over 300 (!) assistant applications, AND I’ll be opening to queries. Ahead of that, let’s do a #mswl thread.
I’m looking across picture books (author-illustrator only) to YA including graphic novels. I love romcoms, friendcoms, adventures and intriguing magic. I am not a fit for most horror, sci-fi, anything to do with emergencies on planes or the pandemic, or animal POVs. #mswl
Megan Carroll @MeganACarrollFYI: I am opening to submissions tomorrow (!), and I have updated what I'm looking for here: watsonlittle.com/agent/megan-ca…
In very basic terms, I am on the lookout for adult fiction and non-fiction, as well as non-fiction for age 7+, MG and YA. And, I've said it before - and I'll say it again - if you're writing something like East is East, please send it my way. #mswl

New year, time to share a new #MSWL thread of things I’d love to see this year.
I am actively looking for: Adult, YA & MG.
And I am eager to support commercial and high stakes stories featuring BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disability, and neurodiversity representation.
Updated manuscript wishlist: manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/thal…. Looking forward to reading some fantastic American history picture books and historical novels in 2022. #MSWL #kidlit #picturebooks #HistoricalFiction #YA #middlegrade
✨ contemporary and well-researched historical queer romance, with pining and butterflies and swoony tension and steaminess and a REALLY strong hook
✨ books that celebrate books, both MG and adult
✨ heists, cons, scams, the more glam the better (no cishet man protags)
i would love to see:
✨ BIPOC, LGBTQ+, disabled, neurodivergent, undocumented, historically excluded voices
✨ adult fiction set in latin america (esp brazil) across genre, own voices
✨ MG fantasy feat. non-western folklore and high personal stakes
It’s 2022! A reminder that I’m open to queries and looking for all sorts of MG and YA, contemporary and fantasy. I have high hopes of finding some great new clients this year. And I finally updated my page here: manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/beth… #mswl
First day back in the office and I'm looking forward to some wonderful books in 2022!
I'm currently looking for:
* author-illustrated picture books
* children's illustrators
* middle grade fiction and non-fiction
#mswl here: tracymarchini.com/submit-to-tracy
In Middle Grade, I'd love to see:
🧢Fantasy inspired by myths, folklore, or legends—especially if it's not European
🧢Historical that centers POC stories
🧢Contemporary with an environmental bent
🧢Horror with ghosts, creepy crawlies, and witches
🧢 Earth-based sci-fi
Now for some fun! A #MSWL 🧵
Let's start with MG and YA...
Other than YA Fantasy...I will be completely open to every genre in MG and YA for 2022!
**Fantasy writers...I do make special requests during pitch contests so keep an eye out for me lurking. Lol.
Happy New Year! To start things off I thought it might be a good idea to share some things I’m looking for. So buckle up my #MSWL is coming (a thread) … *Note I rep MG, YA, & Adult fiction and these items pretty much span that range.
Here we go...
Really enjoyed #DontLookUp and would love to see more #YA and #MG submissions with creative plots that can bring attention to the climate crisis. Books can be so powerful. This is just one of many personal and professional goals for #2022 on my #MSWL ! 🤞💚🌲
the moon’s wife @bookishseawitchI hope this email finds you peacefully working as a lighthouse keeper in a sleepy seaside town and investigating village mysteries with a little orange cat as a companion
#MSWL for middle grade
Haley Casey @Haley_J_CaseyToday's #MSWL is a heist story. Young adult (like SIX OF CROWS) or adult (like MONEY HEIST), or even MG (for which I can't think of an example)—I want to see the mastermind behind the planning, the action, the drama, the romance that blossoms with danger around every turn!
Please, somebody, send me a rollicking multi-POV adventure for YA and MG! I want a journey, a heist, a cast of characters who each bring a unique voice and talent to the table! Make it dark, or make it break conventional tropes, but send it my way! #MSWL
“I’d love to see more YA or MG illustrated nonfiction or graphic novels about women’s rights, reproductive health, and adjacent topics (pop culture included).” @readbystephanie #MSWL psliterary.com/submissions/
Just a reminder that I (and many other editors!) are eager to acquire and amplify trans voices. Agents, I’m always looking for picture books, graphic novels, and MG/YA novels that uplift the trans community 🏳️⚧️ No more room in this world or on our pub lists for bigotry & hate!
