Hi agent friends! Just wanted to put this out there as we look ahead to the new year. #MSWL: I'm hungry for voicey contemporary literary fiction with gorgeous, delicious prose in the vein of Ocean Vuong, Jesmyn Ward, Colson Whitehead etc.

When I reopen to queries in Jan., my wishlist is going to look different than it does now. In adult fic, I am really going to want to see upmarket fiction & book club fiction, literary fic, rom-coms, mystery, domestic & psychological thrillers, horror, & grounded speculative fic.

5/ About 31% of my list is SFF, but I am at an agency with a fantastic track record in literary fiction. I would love to read more upmarket, contemporary, and lit fic by emerging authors, especially (but not exclusively) living in Canada.

I’m not closing to queries, but I am more behind than I’d like. Come January I’ll post my #MSWL mostly in mystery, suspense, upmarket, women’s & literary fiction. I also want select nonfiction.
