#MSWL adult fantasy (epic/high) in world inspired by less-seen-in-SFF cultures. No vamps, weres, witch/wiz, god/Angel, fae/elf, elemental/spellcasting etc tropes - instead show me NEW magic, NEW creatures, or wild twisty fantasy world/political structures.

A meeting today made me think: I’d LOVE to see a huge, sweeping pre-Columbian epic fantasy novel in my inbox.

Before the Europeans landed and ruined everything, there were vibrant, sophisticated, and competitive empires in the Americas. That’s as epic fantasy as anything. #MSWL

Show me something bizarre and outside the normal, with a dynamic fantasy structure, journeys and trickery and twists. Show me how cunning, courage, and wit can make any character's magic win - or save - the world. Show me dialogue that sparks with character and voice. #mswl

So show me a chef, a medicine woman, a food runner, a hairdresser, a shoemaker, an assistant who has the potential to outshine their superior but has yet to discover/reveal it. Let their magic be small but let them find a way to make it ignite in their favor. #mswl

#MSWL high stakes, character driven fantasy w/intricately realized worlds, unique fantasy/magical systems&new creatures. Fun, original political systems, visually dynamic settings, characters with emotions that rip me from my life and plunge me into the pages.

#mswl: be it contemp, fantasy, sci-fi, let's see sex positivity.

Give me a character whose sexual feelings are a crucial part of but not the entirety of her identity. I want characters who enjoy sex bc hey it feels good & sex scenes that don't necessarily have emotional import!
