i love retellings (fairytale, mythology, etc.) and am always happy to see them in my box!

HOWEVER, i *do not* like super obvious retellings. they HAVE to be subtle for me to like them - think ACOTAR and ACOMAF, CINDER, or FOR THE WOLF

#mswl I'd also love a twist on mythology, gods, curses, legends, fairy tales... Put a spin on the stories we already know.

I call my taste "timeless meets timely" meaning I like books that lean into a genre or trope but spin it for a modern reader. Fairytales? Princesses? Magical creatures? Sci-fi adventures? Great! Update it. #MSWL

For Carina Adores, some of the tropes that will grab my eye include attraction of opposites, cross class, fake relationship, marriage of convenience, enemies to lovers, secret agenda, second chance, road trip, forced proximity, fairy tale retelling. Low angst stories only. #MSWL
