Ultimately, for my list, I like to think of it as a balance between dark and twisty, and warm and cozy.

If the vibes are dark academia, witchy, creepy forests, poisonous plants, cottagecore, or anything gothic (whether it’s horror or historical!) it’s right up my alley.

Dark academia is one of my favorite settings, but I love any claustrophobic, condensed settings or settings as character. I’d especially love to see dark academia that explores themes of race and class

I have a soft spot for dark academia that focuses on the "losers." I love time loops, alternative lives, ensemble casts, genre-blending, soulmates, big platonic love, and cozy fantasies such as This Will Be Fun or Assistant to the Villain.
