I've often said I'd LOVE a YA retelling of Much Ado, and I stand by that, but I'd love a feminist reclaiming of it, too. That's a #MSWL, by the way--YA graphic novel retelling of Much Ado about Nothing starring modern-day POC teens. What would such a retelling look like?

Honestly, so much is just not being told yet that there's such a wide variety of diverse stories I just can't say I want till it shows up on my door. Best thing of course is a great story, well written. #MSWL

Also actively seeking Muslim stories, both contemporary and SFF. In particular, science fiction, as I'd love to see stories of POC we don't normally get to see having adventures in the future. Also goes for SF starring indigenous characters. #MSWL

We are still actively seeking contemporary Native American narratives for MG & YA, novel and graphic novel. I'd also love more books about black girls/by black women.

I am particularly looking for MG and young YA that has strong appeal for middle school/junior high students in the school/library market. Literary quality with strong commercial hook to get kids reading. #MSWL

So, for example, @ggmccall's SUMMER OF THE MARIPOSAS is a retelling of THE ODYSSEY abt 5 Mexican American girls on a road trip with a dead guy (Weekend at Bernie's meets Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants)--more like that, please! #MSWL
