I have clients who write and illustrate for all age groups and am open to all genres! There are a few things that I’m NOT right for, however: political nonfiction, erotica, sports nonfiction, true crime, and anything hateful toward any people group or philosophy. Respect > Rancor!

12/ FUN FACTS: I enjoy tarot, gardening, pottery, swimming in springs, rivers, and the ocean, hiking, fishing/scalloping, urban exploring, architecture/design, fashion, sewing/crocheting, home renovation content, journalistic deep-dives into niche topics, antiquing/thrifting, and oddities aplenty.

#MSWL You can call it dystopian, near-future, 5 minutes in the future--whatever you like--but I'm looking for grounded speculative fiction in both YA and Adult with stellar prose, resonant and relevant themes, and deep character development.

More fantasy #MSWL : Adventure and magic with a badass female lead like Shannon Chakraborty’s The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi or V.E. Schwab’s Fragile Threads of Power (or anything like V.E. Schwab's books, for that matter)

Though I've been dipping my toes into younger children's books lately, the only children's genre I'm actively seeking out is YA. I love a funny contemporary YA novel, a twisty mystery, or a super dark horror novel. Basically, I'm looking for the same genres in adult and YA. #MSWL

11/ FYI: I'm someone who really appreciates a well-edited submission, so please triple check for typos and formatting errors before querying me. I'm averse to the overuse of adverbs, so Command+F "ly" is your friend! Also, if your debut is well over 100k words, it might not be the right fit for me.

I enjoy absurd, surreal books, whether they're funny or serious. Bring on the fabulism. #MSWL

10/ What not to send me: YA/MG, military thrillers, police procedurals, self-help or religious books. I'm less interested in hard sci-fi/fantasy than stories featuring lighter speculative elements.

I'm drawn to horror that's deeply emotional. I like subtle grounded internal monsters, rather than literal zombies and werewolves. #MSWL
