Fridays are a great time to send me your queries! Check out my #MSWL www.manuscriptwishlist.com/mswl-post/to...

Or if you're ready, send your query to: querytracker.net/query/TDRL

I'd love to see more suspense and mysteries written in first person POV! I'd love to find a story with a great voice!

But speaking of those select YA titles,
emilyshapiro24.bsky.social my colleague in Labyrinth Road also acquires both MG and YA for our list and is definitely excited to find a great YA for us. 😉

Either way just to remind everyone that my #mswl (and the Labyrinth Road list overall) includes YA but really focuses on MG series that blend internal and external, epic stakes and feature Big Feelings & soapy relationships of friendships, family, and yes crushes!

I’m curious to hear from others about MG submissions. Labyrinth Road focuses on MG, with select YA titles. Lately most submissions I get have been YA. Are people feeling afraid to write or sub MG because of all the market challenges? I believe there will always be space for great MG novels & series!

"I'm interested in upmarket thrillers that use an engaging thriller premise to explore personal/social issues – THE ECHO WIFE and WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING are two of my all-time favorites."

You know what? I'm tweaking my #MSWL . You can send me fiction or nonfiction about cops if and only if they're depicted realistically, in all their lack of glory. Anti-copaganda, if you will.

Maybe because these times are so horrifying but for YA, I’m really craving an atmospheric, layered horror mystery with the beautiful and lush but creepy vibes of Midsommar or The Honeys, even better if it’s romantic & queer #mswl

Give me The Pitt but make it a thriller/mystery/crime novel! Not so into the medical, but really into the quick, but deep character development! I'm still thinking about these characters!

Some #MSWL clarification: my QueryManager page is set up to accept queries categorized as "Fantasy: Magical Realism," but none labeled "Fantasy" in the more general sense, and that's intentional. If your book is more Tolkien than Ishiguro, more Frank Herbert than Erin Morgenstern, it's not for me.
