Started the year off by reading Alyson Hagy's SCRIBE, and really loved it. Appalachian folklore, ghost stories, pitch-perfect prose in a short book that doesn't waste any words. Still digesting its beautiful and complex ending. You won't regret the few hours it takes to read it.Honestly liked this one enough to say that if you feel your work is in this vein--and not just on the level of literal subject matter, you'll know what I mean if you read it--I hope you'll send me a query. #MSWL

No romance required, but romance (or just heat!) is welcome, too.Thank you for all the amazing birthday wishes!!! In case you missed it: I am now open to adult queries and have posted an extensive #MSWL here. Would love to hear about your book if you think it's a good fit! Query me!

My mother-in-law was telling stories of how she had to accompany her sister on match-making dates in Hong Kong when she was a kid. Dim sum with the couple and all the females in the family. Is there a historical romance like this, especially own voices? I would love to read this!Omg please someone write this for me #mswl
