More #ownvoices queer and trans love stories in YA would be excellent! And YA graphic novels, too.

...trans characters; incidental working-class backdrops; all kinds of BAME stories...give me life in all it's beautiful variation! My inbox is still not showing me this, so at JULA we're cooking up ways of removing this barrier that still must exist for writers submitting to us.

Always, always, #ownvoices stories from under-represented writers and characters – including neuroatypical protagonists; characters with visible and invisible disabilities; stories involving unpaid carers and young carers; the broadest definition of queer love / sex stories...

#MSWL Would really love some mega queer YA. So long as it's hooky, I'm not super picky about genre (just not huge into high fantasy/high sci-fi). I love being surprised by pitches I might not've normally expected to go for. (A lot of what I bring to acquisitions starts that way.)

I want this SO BADLY #MSWL

You know what... I would really like some super weird gay vampire manuscripts. Like GIDEON THE NINTH but vampires. #mswl

Queer epic fantasy in the vein of Melanie Rawn (Dragon Prince or Exiles series) and CS Friedman (Coldfire trilogy) would also be fab. #mswl

I'd love to see some queer epic fantasy a la Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar books. Adepts, big magic, sword-wielders, magical companions (I'm a secret horsegirl), and politics, oh my! #mswl

I’m always wanting this but like

Reading sawkill girls recently has made my want for f/f a goddamn obsession

SEND ME ALL YOUR SAPPHIC SHIT

Especially ones with girls made of razor-edges shards and anger and spite—I NEED IT

#mswl

Soooo I'm just going to pop in to say that a Sisterhood of Traveling Pants like friendship story with an all queer and/or POC cast of character has been on my #mswl for aaaawhile.

Some things I am looking for:
- YA RomCom (or adult) with a diverse cast and smart topics.
- MG/YA nonfiction
- LGBTQ+ nonfiction
- Graphic novels in pretty much anything on my wishlist
- #LGBTQIA+ characters in everything.
- Body diversity
- Underrepresented voices

Great list! I want it to be about 10x longer tho 😩
*makes a blood sacrifice in hopes of having an inbox full of queer horror submissions*

#MSWL I’m eager to acquire for @CarinaPress’s newest line, Adores, featuring LGBTQ+ characters, and I’m especially interested in #ownvoices submissions. Here’s a link for more information about the requirements for Adores:

I'm open to queries and currently very caught up. (Hint, hint) I'm hungry for ya romance, queer romance for YA and adult space. Queer fiction in general. Chick lit/romcom. Women's fiction. I'd love a beach read in winter. #mswl

Did a little desk spring cleaning and updated my #MSWL yesterday. I can't wait to see what lovely projects find their my to my inbox!
