Please note that I am not the right person to represent works of non-fiction, literary fiction, short stories, erotica, screenplays, poetry, hard SFF (speculative is fine though) or anything younger than middle grade children’s fiction.
Stories with talking points, that make me think or force my friends into reading too so I can talk about it with them! My all-time faves are Khaled Hosseini, Matt Haig and Mark Haddon.
Including LGBTQ+ romance, YA romance and romantic comedy. I would love an adult Heartstopper or Love Frankie, as well as rom com that is laugh-out-loud funny.
I’m always looking for anything hooky within thriller for both adults and young adults. Locked room thrillers, like The Sanatorium and The Guest List, are especially welcome.
I’m looking for psychological thriller and domestic suspense which is twisty and has a unique hook. I love an unreliable narrator and the feeling of not knowing who to trust. Shock, surprise and confuse me in the best ways!
I prefer HF that is character-driven rather than action or ‘battlefield’ heavy and I have a particular penchant for WW2 historical fiction (think Markus Zusak and Heather Morris).
Morally grey, complex and flawed characters are a plus!
I’d absolutely love cosy crime from *any* period, whether contemporary like Janice Hallett and Richard Osman, traditional Golden Age murder mystery, or historical crime. The more suspects and red herrings, the better!
Half-formed #MSWL thought: give me a novel or story collection that addresses the subculture of shitty Asian frat boys (who grow into shitty Asian finance bros) with both well-deserved derision but also a touch of empathy that acknowledges why and how they got to be like that

Reading for a living @janklownesbit , tweeting for free. Constantly mortified by the ordeal of being known. Don't buy books from Amazon. she/her
Hi send me your campus novels set at mid-tier or otherwise decidedly non-elite institutions, thanks! Would also consider nonfiction taking a critical perspective on the value vs. real cost of prestige academia, for students and for society #MSWL
Anyway if you're writing a coming of age (coming of self!) story about young protagonists or older protagonists, for young readers or older readers, that challenges traditional ideas of what "coming of age" means, who gets to do it, how, and when...send it to me #MSWL#AmAgenting
